Fashion Design

Envision. Draft. Design. Digitize. Create.

Beginning a fashion career has never been easy.  It has always required creativity, passion, core design skills, and hard work. Today, it also requires an edge in using technology.

At Wood Tobe-Coburn, we teach you the basic skills in drawing, draping, garment construction, and prototyping.  Building on those skills, our program is differentiated by its deep emphasis on using computer-aided design tools.  This emphasis makes graduates stand out, getting their feet in the door and providing upward mobility in their careers.

We are proud of a faculty that has received recognition for its accomplishments and remains active in the industry.  They work with a panel of fashion industry veterans to keep our hands-on 12-month diploma and 16-month degree programs current and relevant.

Credit Transfer From Another School

Because programs at Wood Tobe-Coburn School are specially tailored to career preparation, course credits from other postsecondary schools, particularly those that emphasize general or liberal arts education, are generally not transferable. However, college graduates and transfer students may be given credit for courses completed at other approved colleges provided the courses are comparable to those required at Wood Tobe-Coburn School and provided the grades received for the courses were "C" or better. Transcripts of work completed may be submitted for review. Credit is not granted for advanced placement or experiential learning.

Credit Transfer to Another School

Because programs at Wood Tobe-Coburn School are designed specifically for career preparation, students must assume that credits for courses taken at Wood Tobe-Coburn School are not transferable to other institutions. The acceptance of credits is always at the discretion of the institution to which a student is attempting to transfer credits. There may be articulation agreements in place at the time the student enters that may not be in place when the student graduates or desires to attend a particular school. Neither Wood Tobe-Coburn School nor any of its employees can represent that another institution will accept any courses for credit. If a student is interested in attempting to transfer credits to another institution, Wood Tobe-Coburn School will supply the necessary documentation that may aid the student in receiving credits for the completed course work.
