Admissions: Applications are accepted year-round and acceptance decisions are made on a timely basis. Some of our programs begin multiple times in a year, so it’s never too late to apply! You must be a high school graduate or have obtained your GED in order to attend Wood-Tobe Coburn, but you won’t need to take the SAT or the ACT!
Campus Visit: We strongly encourage you to come for a tour of Wood-Tobe Coburn—it’s the best way to see what we’re all about. Once you see our facilities, get to know us, and learn more about our programs, you will understand what makes us different. Then, you’ll have the information you need to decide if Wood Tobe-Coburn is the right choice for you.
Financial Aid: You will have an individually-assigned representative at Wood Tobe-Coburn . He or she can help answer your questions, assist you in understanding applications, and develop an individual financial plan that works best for you.
Programs: We offer a combination of applied associate degree and diplomas in 10 different program areas. Each program’s curriculum has been designed by faculty and industry professionals to emphasize what employers need in their new hires.
Graduation Rate: For students entering in 2010, Wood Tobe-Coburn’s graduation rate was 100.0%. For the year ending June 30, 2012, 100.0% of graduates completed within the normal time for their programs. This high rate reflects our committed faculty, hands-on curriculum, and accelerated programs. Compare that number to community colleges graduation rates and you'll see the difference.
The U.S. Department of Education reports that, among first-time, full-time degree- or certificate-seekers attending community colleges:
-11.5% complete in the normal time
-22.0% complete within 150% of the normal time
-28.4% complete within 200% of the normal time.
Further, among bachelor’s degree-seeking students who start full time for the first time at public, 4-year colleges, 29.9% graduate within four years and 54.9% graduate within six years.*
